My Thoughts On The Site's Skin

I imagine a blend of both classic & currently popular NG mascots, adorned with Santa hats and eating gingerbread cookies while sipping some cider or cocoa, with all the characters interweaved together with multicolored Christmas lights and a warm blue frost background throughout, peppered with daintily floating snow.

Something that is modern and homey feeling, but also in a way showing homage towards the classic site color palette of pre-2012 winter themed site design.

i want to see more classic newgrounds mascots like edd, hank, and salad fingers
i want to see nova in there at the very least, because by all means i count him as a newgrounds character

i know what i would do if i had the chance to make something like that

Just watch some of the recommended series' ng has in playlists. For a newer era of newgrounds popularity I'd suggest ena or sublo and tangy mustard, or even bridge kids if you wanna go super recent. Aside from the classic newgrounds crew everyone knows about, hank, tankmen, alien hominid, its good to show some recognition to the creatives of today by introducing more and more people to them through artwork.

There's nothing WRONG with the skin you made, per se! Don't feel like you have to scramble to fix anything but I do agree that even though Funkin' is a staple of the holiday skin now that it coulda used a bit more NG variety to it!

What do I think about the new site skin? I love it because of warm atmosphere created by the use of lights, highlights and overall chromatic composition. It gives me a nice warm, Christmas atmosphere with bits of comedic effects, notably Santa Claus's face and BF as snowman XD

Lovely Cassanova, I understand why you use FNF characters in this site skin. It's a huge hit, possibly bigger than NG itself! However, it comes off as treating FNF like Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny or SpongeBob as NG is nothing like the three companies that own each of these characters. So yes, give love to more of Newground's characters the next time you make a site skin!

I'll love to see Epic Battle Fantasy(cuz its a underappreciated icon), but there's stuff like binding of Issac, contract rush, dead estate, Ritz, or even castle crashers. Maybe Abobo but thats pushing the line...

I just think you should have represented the community as a whole by adding more references to the site instead of being self indulgent and adding your OC front and center for everyone to see.

Adding thinks like Isaac making snow angels or Blue baby being frozen in the snow, Junior from Dad N' Me showing Dad how proud he is of his snowman, Edd Matt and Tom making snowmen, and tom covers the Tank from Tankmen in snow (To reference the Snogre episode), Pico, Nene and Darnell having a snowball fight and so much more things.

Focus on representing the community as a whole instead of thinking "Friday Night Funkin is the staple of this community! I will represent it as FNF"

You can cook so much if you focus on the community instead of yourself and FNF.

AAHHH I'M LATE XD, i should have suggested castle crashers in time, i love the update on the site skin tho :D it feels less empty tbh, not in a bad way, i like how it turned out to have more ng icons :]
